645D Review 7th June

As a photograph amateur, or as I love to call myself, “a Tourist in the Photograph world”, I have tried pretty much every kind of camera, ranging from the crappy point & shoot to the high-end DLSR, but there was one kind of camera that I’ve never tried before, the MF or Medium Format.

Heavy, Bulky, Expensive and made for real professionals or at least for people who know what they are talking about, Medium Format are impressive cameras, and when Pentax decided to jump into the Digital MF world with their 40Mpix 645D, I could not resist to give it a try and ask for a sample for review....
[Review] Pentax 645D, the other way of shooting photos Akihabara News

Short reveiw, but still worth a read.

"...I have tried pretty much every kind of camera, ranging from the crappy point & shoot to the high-end DLSR..."

Hm, that sounds like he's never shot a LF or MF camera before. Maybe "every kind" of small format camera which is a short base of built experience.

Thanks for sharing but it's pretty thin. Lots of comments like "I've never shot MF before" and "I have to admit that the camera’s capabilities are really exceeding my skills and knowledge here,"

Too bad they didn't share this with someone who felt it worthwhile really using the camera.

(The 645D only offer ISO 400 at maximum)
Is that correct?

I saw that, too. I believe the 645D allows you to go up to ISO1600, so I'm not sure what he was talking about.

If that's how the 645D gets reviewed by him, well, I feel sorry for his 5d MkII!

...and my first though - on what planet does he have the sway to get his hands on a 645D to review anyway?
