What is more interesting that there is a question and answer posted in that auction concerning the new 55mm lens. The seller answerer that ".. the lens will be available ina a week for about $1200 .."

Isn't that the first price estimate on this lens out there?

Couldn't tell you for sure. I can't in my wildest dreams afford or justify the 645d, so I don't much follow the threads relating to it. I just know that the camera was an Asia only offering and this is the first I saw the opportunity for one in the USA.
