pentax 645 macro: FA vs A

I've checked the specs. Both are 9 elements 7 groups, same min focus, same field of view. But are they the same optically? The FA goes for couple of hundred more. I've heard somewhere they are not the same and the the FA is better. Does anyone have experience with both both subjectively and (especially) objectively? How do they compare.

I had both for a brief period of time, and I wasn't satisfied much with the construction of the FA. Optically, I couldn't see any major difference, so I went ahead and kept the A and sold the FA.

Thread moved to MF.
