Anyone know or speculate on the 645D for astrophotography

Just curious how it would potentially perform in that sort of usage.

I'd love to see some tests as well, but I suspect it has the same or very similar firmware / software as the K-7. For moonlit landscapes, this may be a great camera, but for deep sky work I suspect it will be less than satifactory. You'd also need to remove the IR blocking filter as well to get good Ha sensitivity. Besides, you can get a big chip CCD for the price of a 645D. Of course, a 645D could be used for other work. Just my rambling 2 cents.

I'll stick to My P67, so far the finest camera (IMHO) for astrophotography made by Pentax.
