I couldn't find this announcement posted here yet, so here it is: Pentax USA announced today the 645D is coming to the U.S. They are taking preorders on their site for $9,995.95: PentaxWebstore 645D

I want to see Steve (Me) rock the Oregon Coast, Columbia Gorge, the Washington and Oregon Cascades, and all the beautiful land to the south in California and east to the Rockies. Wait! Lets not stop there! I want to photograph the entire WORLD! Won't somebody please GIVE me a 645D?

I have sold photos professionally and I helped a good friend of mine get his render done for a billboard on Times Square (Mini Cooper Robot). I have way too many computers.

It can be couched as an experiment:

"We gave two aspiring professional photographers the new Pentax 645D and told them to go nuts. Here's what they accomplished..."

This would follow with a mixed slideshow of our best bits accompanied by some appropriate music, punctuated by sound-bites from you and me commenting on our experiences with the camera and why it is totally worth it.

Seriously though...Pentax are you listening? This is truly a great idea, sort of like reality TV for photographers!
