Rense, very inspiring. I've actually been thinking about getting a 67 with waist level finder and a 45 or 55mm lens for street shooting (edit: + wooden grip). It should work. I used to shoot with the LX and its waist level finder on the streets and act as if I was invisible. Somehow I think people will even care less if you work with that big camera and a wide angle. Besides shooting from the hips, I've been thinking about using it with a tripod and do some very well planned street photo/cityskape shots of known Stockholm sites. So I'm looking for the hardware. In no hurry. Before next summer (would be too hard to start her in the low winter light). But I've started putting film in the fridge. Until then, please post more photos.

Rense,

with my soon to arrive 645NII, I'm about to give a try to photo'g on the streets. I'm very new to this entire photography enterprise, although I can say that having last late September visited Paris for two weeks, that photographically rich environment has sure whet my appetite.

He writes a little about the Pentax 6x7 as a camera for street photography. I like
this camera for street shots, and I wonder whether I'm the only one here, or if
there are others with this passion??

Here is the quote from Lewis' blog:
Thanks for the link, he has some great writing skill. A pleasure reading

I have just recently purchased a 67. Don't have a wide angle lens or a waist level finder yet, but I am keen to have a go with it on the street sometime soon. Rense, your 6x7 street photos are a good motivator!

The 67 is a bit bigger of course, but using my Pentax 645 (and more recently 645N) for street work has been lots of fun for me. 645N's autofocus ability can be helpful to sort of get 'in and out' of situations quicker. Some examples:
