I cross my fingers every year hoping to get snow that last more than one day on the ground. Living here in Dallas Texas makes me wish for snow year around. Last year I was in Yellowstone when we had a record amount of snow hit Dallas. The irony of that to me is just funny. I always want snow so I leave and hit up Yellowstone to wake up to -15 degree weather only to have it snow in my hometown at record amounts.

I think I am going to have to spend some time fine-tuning my AF lenses - I was getting a lot of out of focus shots. Don't like that. The multiple Af points are so concentrated as to be almost pointless - it appears they sucked out an APS AF module an stuck it into the 645. I am having to dial in a constant over-exposure because my body has a tendency to underexpose. I think this camera will be a learning process again..
No AF system from anyone is precise enough to match the resolution of this sensor. That the camera underexposes maybe in order to save the highligts; remember this camera is targeted as a landscape camera and the meter might be tuned to that effect. In contrast, the K-7 meter overexpose to my landscape taste; but the K10D was perfect.
What is correct exposure for digital is debatable...

Have fun! I love shooting landscapes in the snow and wildlife. Something about the calm of winter just really hits my soul deep.
