Lens hood for 120mm/4 A macro?

Hi everyone,

I have a FA and A version of this lens. The FA has a hood. The A doesn't seem to have the little bits needed to get a hood to affix to it.

Is there supposed to be a way to put a hood on this lens?

Looks like the hood for the A lens screws in the filter threads.

Don't forget this Forum privides technical data and reviews of all the Pentax lenses. You can check this page, for example, and learn the right hood is "MH-RA 67mm screw-in".

They are hard to get, but the same hood as used for the FA* 1.4/85mm.

As it happens, I just bought one online, from Italy a couple of days ago. I did find one earlier in Sweden, but could not get the money there at the time. It was at L-Foto - Begagnatspecialisten and the price was 410 SEK = 43 EURO including shipping. You may try your luck.

You can always buy an off brand screw in hood. There are a number of them on the bay.
