Wife Cut me off

Lol, seriously she said I need to slow down on the purchasing of lenses even though its for the business. And of course a 35mm FA is on ebay right now. If anyone gets it please let us know how it performs. I have to go earn some more money before I can get one

A sensible wife is the best cure for LBA.

Buy her a some flowers or take her out for a meal - works wonders for the obsession.

Just got the FA 35 f2.0. It's a very nice lens and I'm slowly exploring it's potential.

On the wife situation, you have to make a decision between dinner and a wife, or and really cool lens that we will all be in awe of you. I know what I'd pick...

Is this one of those situations in which it's easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission? In any case, good luck shuttershane!

If it makes you feel any better, I think it's a bit overpriced. Ace Photo had a new one for $1399.

I would still love to see a fa 35 mm sample taken on a 645d where the entire frame is sharp not just the center 2/3 rds
When I say a sample i want a pef or dng to evaluate for myself taken in the right conditions, tripod, mlu, f11-f16
Not just some brick wall and as I have mentioned whomever did purchase the fa 35 from ace at 1399 IMHO got a bad copy.
I have sample pefs from that exact lens and ended up not buying it.

Are you shooting it on a 645d?
I hope you post some 100% crops of the corners, when i mean corners I mean the last 1/3 of the image
I know this lens is legendary on the the 645 film, but finding a copy that works punt the potential of the 645d
Good luck

"Wife cut me off...." I hate it when they do that....even when I know she's right. :-)

On the plus side, maybe the prices will come down a bit before you're back in the market for a 35mm lens. They sure are pricey now.

That is the 135mm lens, right? Not the 645 FA 35mm which is F3.5.
