K mount lenses on MF?

I have recently heard that K mounts can be used on Pentax Medium format cameras with an adapter. I'd imagine there would be an area of frame unused or poorly so- but I'm wading into medium format, one Fuji GS645S Pro cheap step at a time, and heard the above-very excited as I've a slew of wonderful Pentax glass, 35mm. Ideas? Foolery?

Thanks. My first foray into the forum. Pentax since 1977, when surfing photographer extraordinaire Leroy Grannis began shooting hang gliding, and told me Pentax was the way to go for a camera on a wing. Man oh man, he KNEW what he was about. My Kodachrome 25's are beginning to self-destruct now after being shown and imperfectly treated these 30 plus years. Scanned the best of them, of course. I'll try to put one in.

The flange distance is too small for a 35mm SLR lens to fit on an MF SLR which has a much bigger mirror box.

Great pictures.

I've not heard of k to 645 or 67, adapters the other way around are available. Aside from the image circle problem the registration distance on a k lens is way shorter than a medium format lens, at best you might be able to do some macro type work but forget infinity focus. the adapter would probably need to have an optical element and therefore reduce the iq of the lens as well.
there are 67 to 645 adapters as well AFAIK

very cool pics BTW, and an e-6 at 30 years wouldn't look anywhere near as good as that Kodachrome does
so sad to see Kodak kill it off

Thanks People. Thought it might be too good to be true.

Unless you have an interest in extremely high magnification macro work, as a person above explained the focus flange on a 645 and 67 cameras is too great for any standard 35mm lens to project a coherent image at infinity.
