Pentax 67 300 F/4 EDIF value?

I'm considering selling my near mint Pentax 67 300 F/4 ED IF lens. I can not find any info about it's value. I checked Ebay, Craigslist, numerous photography forum, and can't find a single one for sale.

Any info would be appreciate it.

Thanks!

SMC Pentax-M* 67 300mm F4 ED [IF] Lens Reviews - Pentax Lens Reviews & Pentax Lens Database

According to pf database, out of two reviews, it has an average sell price of 1600.

But if you really cant decide what to sell it for, just give it to me!

A mint copy of this lens in box, with papers etc sans the hood was listed at a russian ebay auction for 40000rub, which is about 1350$. It was listed for 5 hours and I was the one who acquired it with a help of a friend. This was less than 48 hours ago. I found the hood on ebay for 95$ which totals it at 1450$.
I haven't seen EDIF versions around for quite some time, but I've seen some regular 300/F4 go for almost a thousand dollars apiece.

Glad if this helps.

I don't know where the non-ED version is going for close to a thousand dollars, that's seriously overpriced. You can get a standard 300/4 in Ex+ shape from KEH for $350.
The M* 300/4 ED IF is pretty hard to find, and commands top dollar. A near mint copy with caps, hood and case would probably be worth $1300-1500.

A near mint copy of the 300mm EDIF lens is available now on GetDPI for $1,500.

Bought mine last year from KEH, but I can't recall how much I paid for it. See if I can find the receipt.

Believe I paid $2100 for the M*300EDIF version new in '99 or '00 as a "newly introduced" price. That was the highest I've ever seen it sell for...kind of the high cap on pricing.
Why did I pay so much? Had the rest of the system and needed a great telephoto. When the lens was released I bought it knowing the price would moderate thereafter, but had no desire to wait.
No regrets whatsoever, absolutely lives up to all the hype!

For what its worth this lens is still sold "new old stock" in Japan at ¥312,000 which is about $3800 USD, and I've not seen one on the used market yet amongst at least over 100 of all the 67/6x7 lenses in either shops or listings here. I started out looking for this lens in particular but wound up getting the M*400/f4 ED(IF) I stumbled on instead.

If you are "Sharokin" on GetDPI (with the 300 EDIF lens for sale)......then someone got a great looking copy of this lens. Either way, congrats on the quick sale.

Hi Gary,

That is me. I'm mostly a people photographer and shoot short and medium lenses. I'm glad someone will get more use out of this great lens.

Thanks again!
