I get such scans done on 8X10 film, it is hideously expensive but the resolution is truly breathtaking, I use Kodak tech pan 25 in my 8X10 and I use top of the line Rodenstock and Schneider lenses I'll have to post a crop from one of my 8X10 negs sometime, let me just say that just using these negs for contact printing on 8X10 paper is a colossal waste with the kind of detail I can get.
