Shot a roll of 220 on the 120 setting...will this save me?

Okay I'm an idiot. Don't usually shoot 220 but was given a few rolls of Velvia 220 (the original).

On the second roll I forgot to change the pressure plate and film counter. D'oh!

Here is what I was wondering: if I reload the film backwards, and shoot through the whole thing with a lens cap on, and then re-reload it and shoot till the 11th or 12th frame, can I go on with the roll without any adverse effects?

I really don't want to waste this film.

Thanks for the help, as always

I would try opening the back, in the dark, to reset the counter. Then finish this roll.

Hope this helps

Probably would have been a good plan. Unfortunately I already rolled it the rest of the way up.

Do you think my idea would work?

You don't have a start mark and I have no idea how long the trailer is. I would chalk this up to experience and simply start with a fresh roll. And I am not sure opening the back is very useful method either as the travel distance to the first frame is longer than from frame to frame and so you would not have known when the film ended.

Probably right...argh. Adding insult to injury, I'll have to pay extra to get the long roll developed.

Thanks guys.
