On/Of switch on prism problem

Hi Guys,

Just received a penta prism for my P67 which arrived from KEH today. The funny little on/off switch seems to be stuck in the middle position and cannot be located on "ON' or 'OFF' as far as I can tell. Can anyone tell me, am I doing something wrong? I don't have a lens to put on this body yet. The battery light is coming on when I press the test button so I assume the battery is OK.
The light metre indicator is inactive at the bottom of the meter window

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Be thankfull, you have a later version that shuts the meter off automaticaly. Earlier version could very easily be left on and drain the battery overnight. I know because it happened to me more than once.

I'm grateful the meter on my 67 shuts off after 30 seconds. My mamiya 645 prism wasn't auto-off, and I constantly drained batteries forgetting to turn it off. I even had a "TURN OFF METER!!!" note in the bottom of my camera bag.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll have to wait for the lens to arrive before I can operate the meter but good to know how the on/off switch works. Thanks again.

Actually, you can operate the meter with the lens off. It is a convoluted exercise of pushing in a pin and moving the aperture tab on the front mount to simulate a mounted lens.
