So sorry to hear this Rense!
Your streetshots with the 6x7 are wonderful. I hope you find a nice replacement soon.

Oh no! What happened?
Maybe you should consider getting a "67" next time. Perhaps just because it should be a bit newer than the 6x7. Or even a 67II?

At least the bodies are quite affordable

Well, according to the repair man the buffer of the shutter was broken. Have to have it sent to France, but that's too expensive (2 to 3 days work, according to him...)

Rense,
It's always sad to lose a camera, especially a main user or one with sentimental value.
I hope you find another.

Iris
Your shots are very nice. It must be difficult to shoot street with a 6x7.

By the way, I've been to that railway station!

The one that died, yes..... And it's not that difficult to make street shots with this behemoth.... just use the waist level finder and people won't notice they are photographed (until they hear the mirror, of course )

Sorry to hear the news. Keep the old one around for a parts camera. A few years ago I picked up a second 67 just in case my original died or I broke it. But the original 6x7 has been trustworthy going on 20 years now.

It will... I will have it sent back, and use it for spare parts..... And remember him as the camera who brought me into the world of MF......
