What are the advantages and disadvantages of a 645 lens on K-X dslr?

Dear All,

Someone’s offering me 2 medium format lenses (645 to M42 mount)
Mamiya 110 2.8 and Mamiya 80 2.8.

What will be the advantages and disadvantages of these 2 lenses on a dslr camera.
Is it worth to put one on a dslr?

Thanks in advance

They're huge, unstable, slow, and manual. Not much gain as far as I can see unless it's a super telephoto we're talking about.

Not worth it IMO also.
Standard M42 lenses of comparable quality would be just as good on a K-x.

Assuming you had an incredible deal on some glass, it might be worth coupling one to a PK mount camera.

Otherwise, its pretty much as others here have mentioned.
With perhaps the possibility of making it look like you have a really awesome looking lens on your camera.

Just for the hell of it, I will say this: If you were so inclined, you could get a shift or tilt adapter for these lenses. It wouldn't be too useful, as tilt and/or shift on such lenses would give you a rather narrow angle-of-view. You can pretty much forget about landscapes... But hey, bragging rights?

MF glass on APSC camera can be intersting if you have a tilt or shift adpater (I don't know one that does both)

However, for Pentax K mount, I only saw shift adpaters and they were quite expensive (360€)

For Mamiya to K-mount, you would have to have one designed and machined, unless you can do it yourself, it would be cheaper to buy a native T/S lens with a camera on another platform.

Regular adapters from MF to K are nice if you own systems on both platforms, otherwise old 35mm glass is smaller and cheaper.
