There is a lens profile in ACR that corrects the 55mm distortion.

Yes I know it and do use the ACR correction. But for precision work it does take also away detail information, a macro lens is always the better solution.

How about the 67 55mm 4.0 (late version)?

the D-FA 55mm f/2.8 is fine to shoot wide open, nice and sharp. But has bad distortion. Now I tested the 2.8 75 A version and found it pretty good regaring distortion (not straight like the macro 120 though), and CA is ok too. Sharpness is also nice at f11. Best would be to have such a Leica Elmar 3,5/65 somewhere already adapted and make a comparison test...
the Leica lens probably won't be much better than the Pentax - it's a very old Lens design. Just because it has the Leica name attached to it doesn't necessarily mean it is going to be perfect. The Leica TRi-Elmar 28-35-50mm f/4 ASPH has some pretty bad distortion, especially at the wide end - and that is a modern lens design.

A pentax 67 lens could possibly be a better choice - since you would be using a small portion of it's large image circle - distortion would be reduced, resolution across the imaging field would also be pretty decent...If you choose to go down this path I would recommend the Pentax 67 55mm f/4 - which is to this present day, sharper than the Carl Zeiss equivalent.

i use a cheapie plastic bellow made for 35mm fixed onto a cut up body cap that I use with the 80mm. Dremel and crazy glue are my friends. 105mm works better but you need distance which is not always possible at galleries or museums.

good idea with the 35mm bellow and the crazy clue. I absolute love those solutions and will go after it.
Like Digitalis wrote and Sergio approved, the Leica Visoflex 65 has more distortion than the old Pentax 75mm A. So skip the Visoflex...
Pentax 67 55mm f/4 sounds also interesting, thank you for the recommendation.
