Has anyone tried this combo yet?
I tried the FA 45mm and it was a dog on my 645D?

AFAIK the A version is optically identical to the FA one.
Unlike the 35mm, 150 and 200mm.

The 45 in FA or A form was never spoken of as an exceptional performer. I prefer the FA 45-85 at the 45 end over it. The only times that I would use my 45 was when I know I will need the f2.8.
