You are right to introduce this remark.
I unfortunately didn't compare that way, but it would be great enough if the 25mm would achieve the recognized good to excellent performances of the 35mm.

Now let's have a look on the few samples taken with Kodak 160NC-2 film and 645NII with this 25mm lens.
The very wide scope make it a great pleasure to use it and gives interesting potential to compose.

ISO160, 1/90s, f/13

ISO160, 1/125s, f/13, -0,7EV

ISO160, 1/60s, f/9.5, -0.7EV

ISO160, 1/90s, f/11, -0.7EV

You can see on this 100% crop taken from a 7.8 MPix scan, that chromatic aberration is still a significant issue with film and full frame conditions @ f/11.

The absence of AL element could well be one of the reasons of this result, but let's hope Pentax will also improve the coating of this lens, before selling it.

Still it looks great, considering that it is possible to remove the aberations easily in PP, even in TIFF or Jpg.

Also, an important feature for 645N2 body, the exifs including the focal lenght of this 25mm are correctly printed on the film.
