Mirror up problems 645

The mirror is remains in the up position on my 645. It was stuck in a half-up position, when I nudged it. I can pull it down, but it will not stay in place. I have changed batteries and cleaned electrical connections.

I could send it to someone for repairs, but these bodies can now be had for under $200 on the bay, and I am assuming the repair will be a min of $150.

I am looking for other suggestions for things to try since the cost of screwing this up seem so low. Anybody seen a repair manual for a 645?

I think it's mandatory that you get CLA done to any P645 - whether it's your current one or it's replacement - if you want to continue to shoot with it. These cameras are getting old and things are starting to break down. My P645 body's mirror seal has turned to mush, which I would have to get serviced should I want to continue to shoot with it. Maybe your p645's stuck mirror will be a simple fix for Eric: Home

Thanks,
