My 67 lost the mirror glass directly off the tray assembly today while shooting with MLU. From what I can deduce going by old glue marks, this probably the second time in its life this has happened. I carefully re-glued it to the tray and it seems fine.

Images from before this ill-timed episode were sharp and satisfactory. Should I expect any focusing issues or misalignment problems following this DIY?

unlikely, as long as the angle of the mirror is maintained there shouldn't be any issues.

Test it. If the glue has added space, then focus can be off.

From the manual the mirror is indicated with three bonding points. There should be one metal clip at the top where the mirror plate swings. The focus set must be checked as Yamanobori points out that the glue might add some difference in the true of the mirror. Setting the focus is done at the screen end of the camera above. The calibration screws are under the frame piece and to do this is a bit tricky.
