Mamiya M645 lens on DSLR

I built a Mamiya to Pentax lens adapter using lens and body caps some time ago. Out of curiosity, this afternoon I compared the Mamiya-Secor M150/3.5 N to the Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 180/2.5.

This uploaded file doesn't do either lens justice but it does provide a relative comparison of the Mamiya on a K200D with an acknowledged excellent Tamron SP of about the same FL.

Shot at about 50 yds, f3.5 and f8 at ISO 400 in overcast conditions. No PP other than cropping to 1:1 and compressing. Image ID in upper corner of images.

Considering that the Mamiya 150 cost me $45 and the Tammy 180 was $350 and the only function lost was AE . . . well, check the grass stems on the wheel. And no CA.

M645 f3.5 > f8
T180 f3.5 > f8
