Pentax Digital Camera Utility 4 . . .

. . . or Silkypix. Does anyone use this to process 645D files? The basic conversion from PEF or DNG actually seems quite good but the software is so grindingly slow, buggy and counter-intuitive that I find it unusable (I'm processing on a Mac Pro desktop, quad-core Intel Xeon using system 10.5.8).

Does anyone have a better experience using Silkypix?

I use Photoshop CS5. It has built in lens corrections, and does a nice job converting the DNG files.
Good luck

I use PDCU 4.33 and I get great results, better than with LR. It's slow on my mac, but with some practice is fine

Although I do not have 645D, I would agree with the previous post that PDCU 4.33 gives great results. In fact, the version 4.33 is a major improvement in terms of reliability (incl. batch processing) over earlier version. If you use an earlier version, it is well-worth to update it to v. 4.33.

Food for thought...

here have already discussed this topic. I think Pentax should make the new software for the 645d!
Easy sorting of images, the possibility of correction lenses, correct chromatic aberration, a good converter for Pentax 645D - what we should have.
I hope they hear us!
