67 lenses on 645D

Anyone have any experience with using Pentax 67 lenses on the 645D via the Pentax 67->645 adapter?

They work seamlessly as you can just use the aperture ring. You can read more here:

DigLloyd.com has tons of information on P67 lens performance on P645D. No surprising with their larger image circles they tend to perform better than the 645 lenses except in few cases.

I have used the 105mm f/2.4. It was OK, but the 645 120mm f/4 Macro is very much better. I am not sure the 67 lenses are better than the 645 optics, I have not seen a trend if that is the case. Many of the 645D shooter on the web are using 645 lenses rather than 67. DigLloyd has questionable conclusions about the 645D and his tests are certainly not definitive.

If you have 67 lenses, then you can certainly use them. Some may be very good.

I have used only one 67 lens on the 645n, nII and D. It is the 400M*EDIF which is rare and one available from a fellow forum member right now.It is a great sharp and fast lens, period. Outperforming the 645 400's.
The best feature is due to the larger mount and registration distance Pentax has been able to put the aperture linkage into the mount which makes 67 lenses very usable on the 645's as manual focus lenses.

If you have 67 lenses on the longer end it is a great way to put the lens in use. However with the prices of A series 645 lenses I would not go and buy 67 lenses just for this purpose.

Thanks, Yamanobori, but the longest lens I have is 300mm f/4 (older - not a great lens), but I'm more of a wide angle kind of guy. The lenses I use most on my P-67's are the 75mm PC and the 45mm.

I often use the 67 100mm Macro on my 645D - a beautiful lens which delivers stunning results. As I am the owner of a 67II, I never thought of purchasing the 645 120mm FA in the first place (prices are way out of line anyway on ebay or elsewhere). I have tried the 67 105mm, it seems okay but Chris Willson uses it regularly and seems very satisfied with it. I have also checked out the 67 45mm but it isn't as sharp on my 645D as I used to think it is so I'd probably stick to my FA 45-85mm.

Thanks for the plug DW...presuming you are referring to my M*400/4 EDIF in the marketplace. It works quite well on a DSLR though I've never tried it on a 645D.
