Hello, I am a new member and am considering purchasing a Pentax 645D. Are there third party lenses that mount to the 645D body?

i'm pretty sure there are adapters out there which let you adapt hasselblad and mamiya lenses to it. plus, there are also adapters to adapt pentax 67 lenses.
as for actual third party lenses in 645 mount, i am not aware of any.

Actually, there are a lot of quality used 645 lenses out there, both manual and autofocus. You won't need to buy third party lenses. However, there are a variety of adapters that will permit use of Pentacon 6, Hasselblad, Mamiya and Pentax 6X7 lenses.

Hello, as the Pentax 645 line is quite developped, i quite don't see the interrest (need of an adaptor + everything manual). But you have these examples at this time on E-bay :

Hassy Tessar 350/4 :

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sale-Hasselblad-TELE-Tessar-T-FE-350mm-4-Leica-S2-Pe...item415ed1753c

Contax 300mm/2.8 :

Contax Tele-Apotessar T* 300mm f/2.8 APO to Hasselblad 200/Leica S2/Pentax 645D | eBay

Hassy Zeiss 50/2.8 :

Hasselblad ZEISS FE T* 50mm/2.8 to leica s2/pentax 645D | eBay

Hassy Zeiss 150/2.8 :

Hasselblad Zeiss FE 150mm/f2.8 to Pentax 645D Leica S2 | eBay

The Leica S2 lenses are not adaptable, as their flange distance is smaller than the Pentax 645 one.
I dont know for the others (Mamyia-P.One, 6x6 formats) but i doubt.

I think I would consider 67 lenses only in cases where there are no 645 options. That said, however, I recently ordered a P6 mount, 180mm, f/2.8 Zeiss Jena Sonnar.

I'm a new owner of the 645D (purchased with the new 55mm lens) and have recently added a 35 mm and a 120mm macro. There are plenty of second hand around and they all seem in good condition.

Right you are, Rob! I owned a 645N before I bought my D, with a 75mm and a 120 Macro. I bought a 35 and an 80-160mm zoom, both used. THEN I bought a new 55. I might as well have bought a used 55, what with the great used market prices and all.
