Newbie 6x7 user...

Hello from DC.

Just purchased a fairly "minty" (love that ebay word!) 6x7 with MLU and TTL Meter prism, and a couple of lenses: 45, 75, 55-100 zoom. Always wanted one to play with landscapes and finely found the right time and money.

And naturally I have just a couple of where do I get a new battery and where do I find a User's Manual and any other documentation that would be useful?

Appreciate all help although at this stage of my Pentax Medium Format experience I can only offer my Thanks until I gain some experience.

Again, Hello and Many Thanks in advance,

The batteries not so sure about, I just got one from the camera store. I don't think they are anything special.

The manual can be found here:
Pentax camera instruction manuals, Pentax professional instruction manuals
Drop the site owner a few bucks, he provides value.

You will see in the manual which 6V battery is listed and you can order some on the internet if all else fails. But I've found 6V Duracell Lithium 28L batteries at many convenient places that work.

Nice score on that 55-100mm zoom.

congrats! You'll love it.
About that battery: this is not the same that goes for the 67II, right?

Yes nice pickup!

The 67II uses two 3v and the 67/6x7 one 6v battery.

Kodak makes a silver oxide version of the 6v battery.

The battery is a 3V type. The electronics store came very close to selling me an identical battery, same size and shape, in 12V (!). Be very careful and take the expired battery out of the 67 with you to compare.
These little fellas (commonly made by Varta and Duracell) last about 10,000 exposures, if you don't hog the MLU facility every shot. I replaced the battery in my 67 on delivery as a matter of procedure.

If you are interested, this is what I do for a battery.

I get the CR1/3n (Lithium) cheap online for about $2 each, but around my area they charge about $7-$9 for an Alkaline version of the PX28A/4LR44.
