Pentax 645D DNG Profile inside of Lightroom

When I load DNG files form my 645D into Lightroom the two options i have under the camera calibration are Adobe Standard and "Embedded". Does anyone know what exactly the embedded profile is ? It's obviously something the camera writes into the files but does anyone know what that profile is based on ? Is it the generic pentax profile created at the factory for the Kodak CCD or is each camera profiled before it ships out of the factory ? If anyone close to Pentax can comment on this it would be great.

The Lightroom Develop Module

You are talking about in the Develop module. And if you were using older files you would have another option, Adobe 1983(?). My experience in this dialogue is that the current Adobe is almost always better than the Adobe 1983, and that the Pentax embedded is usually better than the current Adobe profile. But the difference today is much better than the difference of just a couple of years ago.

When you take the photo there are assumptions made by the camera as to what the conditions of the scene are. It is usually a better judge than the generic Adobe assumptions. But if you have the time try them both.

Sorry I can't be more specific in all the terms, but I'm away from a computer that has Lightroom on it right now.
