Rubinar 500mm f/5.6 mirror lens on a 645D

Did someone try this lens on a 645D? What is a good price for this lens?

I am guessing, but I doubt the image circle would cover the sensor. I believe this was designed for a 35mm frame.

According to this website there is considerable vignetting when using that lens on a medium format Pentacon Six film SLR.

Here's a test shot from the website:

I'd love to try one on my K-x, though!

Cheers,
Bobbo :-)

Hmm, the guy who is selling the lens wrote that it is definitely for the Pentax 645 format. Maybe I will give it a try, as it costs less than 100$.

The Rubinar is designed for 35mm, I am not aware of any adapter that would permit its use on a 645D. If any member of this group does know of such a device, please let me know.

I don't know about resolution, but coverage looks fine for 645 based on the 6x6 image. And the 645D has an even smaller sensor. If it actually comes with a Pentax 645 mount, it seems like it would work fine.

There are eBay sellers who don't know what they are talking about but, rather, just assume that a 645 is the same as any Pentax 35mm. I have seen 8mm Bell and Howell branded lenses listed for the 645D.

In the case of the Rubinar, you should be able to use it with a 35mm, depending on the lens mount. .
