HDR's you come up with yourself will look better, obviously, but given that you're on a tripod (which you always will be with the 645D), then the in-camera HDR option will save you a lot of time if you don't want to spend hours processing your photos. It really does work quite well- see our K-5 review for some examples (the feature is exactly the same).
