Pentax 645 - Canon EF/EF-S Adapter

I am searching for an adapter which allows me to use 645 lenses on a Canon Body (EF and/or EF-S). It should support infinity focus. I know that there are many different kinds of adapters offered on ebay. But most of them come from China and doesn't look trustworthy to me.
Maybe someone can tell me which one is safe to buy?

Hi,
You might do better with your inquiry on one of the Canon sites. Either that or have the mods move this to the non-Pentax section of this site.

No problem. If one of the mods could move this to the right section, that would be fine.
Thank you.

I received a Fotodiox Pro adapter from Amazon to mount my Hasselblad lenses on my Nikon DSLR. Very impressed with the quality of this adapter....no play at all in the lens to adapter or adapter to camera. No electronics, all manual. I've now ordered Fotodiox Pro adapters to mount my Pentax 67 lenses on both my Nikon and Canon DSLRs. For approx. $70-$80, they are a very well made and designed. Even includes a tripod foot on the bottom of the adapter. They make one for Pentax 645 to Canon EOS also.

Thank you Gary.
Another question: What focal length do you get on a fullframe/crop DSLR with a Pentax 645 lens? For example I would like to use the 35mm A on both a Canon fullframe and crop camera.

I asked this question once myself, though I can't remember if it was here or on the GetDPI forum. The consensus of responses was that the focal length is what the focal length is......ie a Pentax 645 35mm lens would have the same field of view on your Canon DSLR as a Canon 35mm lens mounted on your DSLR (whether APS-C crop or full frame). I have confirmed that now with my own experience. When I mounted my Hasselblad 80mm lens on my Nikon D700, the field of view is nearly identical to that of my Nikon 85mm lens mounted on the D700. At least, that's how it appears to my eyes.

Gary says it all--focal length is focal length. Format will determine the field of view. The 35mm 645 lens on your FF camera will be just like a 35mm FF lens on your FF camera. This is not a matter of opinion.

Even the inexpensive adapters from China are sturdy (67 to K10). Simply put, they're machined metal. May come loose, if so, tighten w a micro screwdriver.
