OK, pro photogs have a need for the MF Pentax.

You other guys, has it been worth it?
I certainly think so. I have not experienced any buyer's remorse sort of thing at all. It has been a blast from day 2 or so. It took me about a day to realize the difference in principle in comparison to APS-C set up (K-7), which I hardly ever use now because of M8.

Some lovely images. Your blog says they were taken in Ontario, is that correct? Some remind me of Minnesota's shore along Lake Superior, which would be relatively close by.

Yes, most of the ones on my blog are from ontario, minus the ones that are obviously cuba or california. All the ones in this post are from ontario.

There are some fantastic images there you got. Enjoyed your blog also. I think it is great that this camera is being used in non-studio settings (as it should be).

Many great images Larkin. I too love qto photograph old abandoned houses and buildings with the 645D, that represent a era gone by. Shots of the water shoreline are strumming too as is the macro one.

Although I don't live anywheres near Onterio, I've been up there many times. Where approx in that region, especially the shots of the water? Thanks!

The water stuff is a place called "aweda provincial park" and then cyprus lake on the bruce peninsula which is a pretty interesting region.

Thanks very much larkis! It does look like an interesting place. I've been to Algonquin Provincial park in Ontario (2 hrs north of Toronto) a number of times. It's a very popular destimation for those that love to be on the water (having well known famous lakes and waterways) and also photographers, especially in the Fall. I believe Michael Reichmann from Luminos Landscape makes an annual Autumn trip there to photograph.

Yes, I have been there multiple times but not with my 645D. I'm hopping to do a trip there it the fall to capture some of the nice colours that occur. It's a very popular destination but unfortunately miserable in the summer due to an abundance of bugs.

Nice work, what lenses do you recommend for portraits on the 645D ? I have high hopes for the 90mm 2.8 that was announced.
