645D and EVF

I am trying to set up my camera to macro focus more accurately. Can anyone advise me as to whether somthing like a Zacuto EVF connected via the hdmi port would give me a focussing screen which i could then magnify with the z finder.

The 645D doesn't have live view (the sensor would overheat), so no, I don't think it would work.
