New Hasselblad 24mm comes in at 6K USD. So comparitively the Pentax can be had cheaper.

They both have advantages and disadvantages though. The Hassy takes large front filters while the Pentax uses drop in filters. So ND and polarizer are cheap while use of grad ND becomes difficult; just the opposite for hassy. Pentax has WR while Hassy can use their tilt-shift adapter and is smaller. But comparatively I think the price for the Pentax is quite good from a specs perspective. The final question though is does the Pentax perform up to standard optically which I can't comment on. Rummor is the Pentax has some CA issues.

Now if only we could get a Hassy to Pentax adapter like the Hassy to Leica adapter choices would open up...

And of course the Pentax is starting to show up used a bit so it can be had for a further reduced price:

I wish I had known that D FA 25mm was for sale as at that price (or near it), I would have strongly considered it. Still all in all, its a expensive piece of glass.

Got mine for $5K. Worth every penny for me. Very nice lens. Love the 20mm type focal length in 35mm terms. Hope it covers the new 645Dii.

That's why, in part, I got the D FA version for full frame, not the DA...though that can make it quite a wide lens depending on sensor size of the new 645Dii when it comes out!

I have both 25mm and 35mm, 35mm will be showing more edge distortion, on this point, I would say 25mm is like at least 60% edge distortion less compare to 35mm
