LCD display on 67ii

I have just got a 67ii and loaded my first 120 film, turned off the camera (to L) and the LCD screen continues to display "FILM 1" is this normal as the instructions suggest it should be blank. Will it disappear after a period of inactivity?
A lot to learn and the instruction booklet is inadequate. Are there any third party instruction books I can buy?
Thanks for your help

Same problem here. Did you manage to fix it?

I had no response and was unable to find further information but it appears it should stay on whilst there is a film in the camera, I haven't had to replace the battery since June, so it doesn't drain the battery quickly which was my concern.

Just to mention... the display on other types of cameras from about the same era typically does the same. I have a a few Pentax P&S that, when empty, shows nothing in the off position and when film is loaded, it maintains the count of the frame even when turned off.

I was actually suspecting the same. It was too strange that the ISO number was disappearing and the frame count no, like a "selective" fault.
I will check how long the batteries will last though, but Junah makes me hope that will be enough.
Thank you

Just to add... My old UC-1 would run for about a year with the battery busy showing the count and that is with a single Lithium CR123.

That's how they work, don't worry.
Mine and my friend's one do the same.
