Updated roadmap for 645 mount

It seems to me new zooms will be with HD coating and SR system.
45-85 mm replacement. ~28-45 mm and 90-200 mm lenses...

FYI, Pentax didn't officially comment on the SR when I talked to them. Where do you think the technology came from?

Maybe the SR tech came from Tamron, given the new "collaboration" to release the 18-270 in a Pentax guise.

Too bad I can't afford and 645 lenses. Zooms would be no good anyway as they won't allow the DoF that 645 is ideal for.

They need to release an f/2 standard lens.

Remember that Pentax does hold patents for in lens image stabilisation. When Canon developed their in lens image stabilisation they used the Pentax patents.

Maybe there is something about the physical mass of the 645D's sensor which makes in body image stabilisation not as efficient as in lens image stabilisation.

Only the future will tell.

I'm sure I read that when Sony were designing the A900 they had difficulty adding the sensor stabilisation because it was twice the size of APS-C. Medium format is bigger still so I imagine that keeping the stabilising rig reasonably small would be a challenge.

To get the same level of in body stabilization on the 645D compared to an APSC camera the sensor would have to move a much greater distance in the same amount of time which could be a design issue with the current technology...

O wow, so people have it. I'm not in for 645D at the time (but thinking about it), but any pictures to see made with it somewhere?

Nothing from me online. If you have some patience I will eventually post a comparison of the 67 M* 400mm 4.0 and 1.4x to the A* 600mm 5.6.

I'm patient, since I lack money at the time to purchase
