My dreams come true

long times pentax owner, k10 to k5 a

i was looking for the camera ready to buy it. in ebay italy, i found 6200 6600 6300 euro for kit...then a shop told me a guy was selling its camera....he told me 4800 euro...

we meet camera is practically new, treated with gloves , few actuations, warranty expire june 2013....everything in perfect condition. practically use like new, probably better

i planned to think after reviewing the camera a pair of days, but then i bought it instantly. I think i made the bargain of century.

I already have practically all lenses, miss the 35 i will buy soon and next year the 25.

i'll use this thread for my consideration dn posting some images.

so far some question...

1- is it possible to skip completely the dark frame subs after long exposure? i switcthced it off from menu but still after a long exposure it makes the Noise reduction. i know is good but i don't like to wait.

2- Oh god the shutter. it's a symphony

3-soon ill test it against friend's d800.

Oh, that price is really killing the "full" in the other camera makers full frame. Nice!

No. And you really want the camera to do dark-frame subtraction. You can use the multiple exposure feature to beat the 30 sec limit, but 9 stacked frames at 30 sec each end up with a lot of noise and dark and hot pixels.

i used the camera for an editorial event. it worked brilliant. not fast frame, but for the rest solid af, solid metering and flash exposure. clearly is not the primary field i bought the camera for, but i am impressed by the iq quality. 3d, smoothness, perfect tone and neutrality. everything is natural. i love the camera. and i'm happy i stayed with pentax and didn't' buy a d800.

what do you think of the fa 45 2,8? i know it's not perfect but for a walking around lens it can be a nice one. i have the 45 -85 that i have read is better, but is bulky.

Yes, bulky but anytime better than the fixed FA 45mm as far as can be read... this one beeing considered as the less qualitative (wide open conditions) lens in the 645 lineup.

Lots of envy on you especially for the price you've found.

Enjoy that toy.

Loved your writing. I read it in an Italian accent. My Grandfather was from Torino/Omegna.

Juventus vs Chelsea tonight!
