Lens caps-Generic?

I purchased a Super Takumar/6X7 1:3.5/55 . It seems in excellent condition but has no caps.
I particularly need the lens end cap, body cap is not necessary because I am making a Graflex lens board for it.

The outer dia of the hood is 103mm and the ID of the thread is 99mm.
Does anybody know if there is a generic cap that will fit? I see 100mm push on caps at B&H by Schneider and Kaiser Bakeware.

I have made acetal lens caps on the lathe for smaller lenses but making one this big would be a chore.

KEH might have the original Pentax caps. Other than that, the push-on cap or fabrication might be your best option.

Well it took many months and I finally found an original, correct hood for the Super Takumar/6X7 1:3.5/55
at Igor's Camera Exchange.
It is in good shape and the price was good too.

I feel confident that the lens front is protected well enough to take out and about now.

If I am feeling strong, that is. This setup weighs 8 pounds (4kg)

That's a hard lens cap to replace. I saw one on eBay for $30 a few months ago. I tried KEH and B&H for filters for it a year ago and the B&H guy didn't know of any 100mm filters. That said, you can get some 100mm filters for about $50-80 (entry level) on eBay.

The filter thread is 100mm, not 99. It calipers out at 99 due to the thread width (0.5mm on each side.)

Maybe a telescope specialist would have a large enough lens cap?

Were it me, if I lost my lens cap (terrible thought!), I would pick up a pieces of round plastic and hold it in place with rubber bands until a suitable solution presented itself.

The hood is a bayonet lock which precludes the use of a 100mm threaded filter.
I am thinking of cutting plastic from a laundry powder bucket to make a rectangular cap for the hood.
