DIY Pentax 6X7 extension tube

Hi Everyone,

I have a Rokunar 2x auto tele converter thats seen better days, the element inside is cracked so its pretty much useless.
Before I trash it, I thought I'd experiment and gut out the internals and see if would work as an extension tube before I go buy real ones.

Has anyone ever tried it?
If so, how many loss of stops?
Got any sample photos done with one?

You can use the Pentax 6x7 Extension Tube Manual for a reference on exposure factor for its nearest tube length and lens combo. And note it says no exposure factor compensation is needed when using the TTL Pentaprism.
