Wanting to maximize write speed from 645D to card. I bought Sandisk Extreme Pro 95mbs SDXC 64gig and 16gig cards. Shot and tested both card sizes; and got identical corrupted Raw files to both cards.

Would the 645D have a limit as to which SD cards it can use? Would a firmware fix solve it?

You should be using firmware v 1.13 or newer (the current version is 1.30) for reliable SDXC performance. You can get the firmware here:

However, just so you know, the card you bought far exceeds the 645D's maximum write speed, which is around 30mb/s.

Thanks Adam, I just installed 1.30 last week. I will re test with these newer cards.

UHS-1 transfer mode or higher is not suppotrted by the 645D Hardware.

But that does not matter, UHS-1 is by design backwards compatible.
UHS-2 only work in UHS bus support device.

Just trying to revive this thread...just had the same issue where my Sandisk Extreme 64gb SDXC card errored out after 4 or 5 shots. Really scary for a professional to see this (see attached)

I haven't had the same issues yet with the Lexar. Is it an issue of the speed being too fast, or the Sandisk being incompatible? It shot about 5 shots fine...
