Pentax 6x7 Shutter Problem

Dear Forum,

I have shot the first test rolls with my new-to-me old 6x7.
Unfortunately I had to find out that speeds 1/250, 1/500 and 1/1000 are not working. It seems that the second curtain firest too fast, so that there is no gap between the curtains and therfore the film remains unexposed.

All other times seem to work fine.

Is this a mechanical or an electronic problem? Is it worth trying to fix it myself (any tips and hints?), or better have it fixed right away?

Georg

If it has not been CLA'd recently then it is possible that the timing has slipped. It is not impossible that event the slower speeds are off but given the time that it is just adequate enough to operate.
All speeds are governed by a timing circuit and a series of capacitors are used to create the correct speeds. The upper speeds are in a separate group from the slower... Do have a professional give it a proper look.

I know Hans Klinkhamer does service the 67, see De Kamera, Hans Klinkhamer de Rolleispecialist. It's in the Netherlands (almost literally on the border with Germany).
He serviced my Rolleiflex 2.8F and did a great job for a very reasonable price. When I met him, he also had a P67 under service.
