Rear baffle for the 6x7 300/f4?

I seem to have lost the exit baffle for my S-M-C Takumar 6x7 300 f/4. It was always loose, but I must have gotten careless when changing lenses in the field because now it's gone.

Would someone be able to tell me the dimensions of the hole so I could make one for myself out of cardboard?

Alternately - how important is this baffle to image quality? I would almost never shoot this lens wide open; it's much better when stopped down to f/8 or f/11; does that make a difference to the usefulness of the baffle?

I can't give you the dimensions of the baffle, as I sold mine after using it for 15 years. The baffle is important because it prevents off axis light from bouncing off the inner barrel. I had to make a baffle for my 400 Takumar and found that it had to be very anti-reflective to work right.

According to my cheap caliper, the opening on my copy is approx. 42.5mm wide and 35mm high (measured across the center).
