Testing 645 shutter without loading film

I just bought a 645MF (I also own an NII) and I'm trying to test it
I can't remember how to test the shutter without load a film, anyone can help me?

Thanks

If I remember correctly, just take out the film holder.

Here is a website with the manual broken into several PDF files, that should help you out:

Pentax 645 instruction manual, user manual, free PFD camera manuals

What hoover said does sound correct to me if I recall.

I thought for the original 645, not the 645N or 645NII, thak you had to have the rear body cap in place. Page 14 of the 645 manual explains it.

If you use the rear body cap, you can set all modes, shutter speeds and apertures.

If you just remove the film holder you can only use 1/1000 sec only if the aperture is on A. If set to any value other than A you get 1/1000 sec, 1/60 sec and Bulb only.

Regards

Chris
