incorrect, the 645D IR still has the bayer filter. All the sensors Pentax have been using in the 645D are specifically for colour photography and have their bayer filters intact.To remove the Bayer filter Pentax would have to use a sensor that was made without one in the first place*.If you have a UV/IR cut filter it is perfectly usable for visible light imaging.
*it is possible to remove the Bayer filter from a sensor without replacing it. However, it is very difficult to do and there is a distinct possibility of destroying the sensor, not to mention voiding any manufacturers warranty that may have covered it from damage.
