This guy doesn't seem to know that the lens hood is double extending. I never knew for like the first 3 months with mine...

1day left and no bids. The other two are just sitting there also. I paid more than that for mine way back when I bought it, but at that time it was the first I had seen in 6months... Is the 645 market dead or is nobody interested in wildlife photography from a manual focus medium format system? I guess the Nikon D800 has hindered the market a lot now that higher MP can be had with modern AF telephotos... And here I was just looking at that 67 800mm up on ebay... Ya know if Ricoh doesn't kill Pentax and medium format a new 60mp body will be here in a couple years.

Hm, need to sell off this old k mouth kit first. Anybody interested in a K FA* 300mm 2.8, Zeiss 28mm 2.0, and several other limited and star lenses that will be available stateside in December?

Well D800 with 600mm/f4 does make sence for this work. Or even the expensive 800mm/f5.6

600mm

Well , if Ricoh kills pentax these lenses will be really cheap sooner than later. And if Canon buys Phase One there wont be any medium format with a soul anymore.....

Well I am going to give Pentax 3 more years to see what they can do. I really want that new wide angle zoom they showed on the road map in weather sealed and my 645D will be due to progress to backup body. I don't need more resolution and would even be just fine with updating the current body with new features (automatic focus bracketing, more coverage of AF sensors, improved sensor with better dynamic range, option to turn off this dark frame exposure, improved viewfinder, more accurate focus confirmation (tired of using this viewfinder magnifier), etc.). Of course 60mp full frame I wouldn't complain about.

That should also give Canon time to do the D800 right. Won't go Nikon. If I switch it is Canon as I have their TS lenses still and would buy the 200-400 with built in 1.4x. But like I say good to go for 3 more years. Hoping Pentax at least brings out the lenses they showed on the road map, updated body or new body would be a plus. I love medium format too much.

And I still can't believe there are no bids? Come on people, you can mount this thing on Pentax 645 or any 35mm mount all the way down to the NEX and Fuji thingys. Where can I get a 600mm 5.6 lens with that kind of mount flexibility and legendary Pentax star quality for this price? I think a few people have even done a bit of chop and mount work on them to run on Mamiya 645 bodies.

Their is Leica still which don't seem to even flinch in this market, of course I don't think they would stoop that low and hurt their image, they would just pull out and walk away... And Hasselblad is on it's last desperate measures with these outdated Sony's with the Hassy bling to revive them for the "cool crowd".

Two drop in polarizers up on ebay for the 600mm. These were very rare items for quite a while then there seems to have been several making it to market this year. If you think you ever might want one for yours buy it now as it may be a hot item again in a year or so.
