You're obviously referring to the Nikon D800/800e. I shot the 800 and the 600 against my 645D for an extended period of time. To be sure they perform some functions much better, such as FPS, writing speed. But in terms of image quality the 645D has a 'look' that the Nikons can't match. i know one 645D owner who just sold his 800 because the images simply didn't hold up when compared to the 645D. Part of the reason may be optics and the fact that Nikon has a relatively short list of lenses that can take full advantage of the sensor capability. Or, it may be the differences between CMOS and CCD sensor technology. Whatever the reason, I found the 800 images 'lifeless' and two dimensional and really no more involving than those produced by my K5 or SONY a850.
