Quick Release Plates - Kirk and 645D

Hi guys; new here having just got a 645D - it was a deal I couldn't resist

However, I now have to get the bits I need and the first is quick release plates. Now being in the UK I can't easily get Really Right Stuff and I am having trouble finding plates that fit (with the anti-twist pin) the 645D. I have seen the Kirk PZ-28 which is for the 645 and 645AF - but not sure if this will work for the 645D.

Anyone used these or know if they will for properly?

Thanks

Phil

congrats on the new baby!
I got nothin' to add about QR plates but just wanted to comment on your camera.
FWIW, I went to a Manfrotto head that uses RC4 plates and have two plates always mounted to my 645D. The larger surface area of this plate holds well without ever slipping or twisting loose.

Thanks guys

It was a considered jump. Current set-up is a D800e with Zeiss lenses - great lenses, but just don't like the 800e.

So, I have been looking at the 645D and then found a great deal on a shop demo body with the 55mm lens for 1,000 ($1630) off the price. Had no choice but to jump

Now have to start planning selling off all my Nikon gear - as long as the 645D delivers; which I am sure it will.

Just didn't think it would be so hard to find plates that fit

Phil,

Any plate that fits the Pentax 645 film bodies will fit the 645D. Even 67 plates fit; I have an acratech plate I bought for a 67II that I now use on the 645D.
