Pentax 645N battery life

Can anyone confirm official battery life for Pentax 645N? How many rolls of film do you make per battery pack. Most interested for me is very cold weather with Lithium battery. Thanks for answers.

According to a google search I found this:

Powered by six AA, alkaline or lithium batteries, the batter life is roughly 130 rolls of 120, or 100 rolls of 220 (per Pentax)

The 645N is only rated down to -10C or 14F. You will get 120 rolls of 120 film at these colder temps using Lithium batteries or 7 rolls using Alkaline.

I would worry more about the camera body than the batteries in the cold. The -10C/14F is the minimum "working" temp for the camera to function normally, however you may not have any issues at all.

I've been running the same set of lithium batteries for a year and a half now in my 645NII, Off the top if my head I don't know how many shots but it's been dozens of rolls of 120 and 220. And that includes shooting as cold as -40. Lithium batteries are largely unaffected by cold.

Just get some good batteries (I think I have Energizer ultimate lithium) and forget about it.

thanks chief. I only use Energizer Lithium Ultimate in all toys I carry in mountains. It is simply the best and cheapest batteries I have ever used.

I was out on Saturday at -30 C and my camera got very cold. I was walking around long enough to shoot a full roll of Tri-X, maybe 45 minutes or so. Other than the winding motor slowing down a bit everything worked perfectly and not a single problem with the roll after I developed it.

OK, there was one problem: I tried to operate the zoom ring without taking off my mitten and accidentally stopped down to F32 for one shot.
