how do you keep track of shutter count?

other than counting, how do you find out the number of shutter actuations for the 645D?

The camera keeps track of its shutter count internally and puts the info in the EXIF of every file.

PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor

It will give you the number of actuations, and just about everything else you could want to know, and lets you edeit a lot of it.
