Comparison

Just interesting...
Canon 5D Mark III Left with Canon 85 1.8 | Pentax 67 , Pentax 165 2.8, Ektar 100, CS FILM Lab, Right
The chromo kind of kills the Canon 85 1.8...
This is not meant to be an identical test just interesting I thought.

I get a bit of purple in my blacks with Ektar 100 when home developed and scanned. I kind of stick to Portra 160/400 for people. But I like the results you've got. My scanning software has no profile for any new Kodak films so it is really taxes my weak color skills trying to adjust it out in the scanning software. Here is an example of it on Ektar.

Some noticeable purple fringing on the grape vines with high contrast on the top Canon shot. Quite a difference in the sky and green plants.

That shot looks great. I agree, I typically use Portra 400 for people unless it's winter time, then I use Ektar.

Chroma with a Canon 85mm f1.8...!?
I don't think so.

Montman, do you have some back focus going on in those shots? Seems the subjects are OOF but grapevines beyond them appear sharp.

Are you talking about the digital shots?

I prefer the Ektar in the P67 The colours from the Canon look washed-out by comparison and the skies are much poorer. I didn't understand the reference to the Chromo. Did you mean that the Ektar is better than the digital and Chromo was a reference to the Ektar film? If so then Ektar is C41 processed colour negative film not transparency film which is called chrome

Just meant there is a but of purple color fringing on the digital shots. Probably not the best word choice to use "Chromo".
