How do you get this close with P67?

Hi all,

I frequently saw pictures taken with P67 like really up close, fitting the whole face in the frame.... like this one:
https://flic.kr/p/j5YC1w

but I don't think 105mm can focus this close... so is it a different lens, or some gadget to get this close?

Thanks,
Lee

You can focus that close with the 105/2.4 if you use a close-up filter or extension tubes.

The 75 2.8 AL will focus that close but the 105 2.4 with close up filter might be more pleasing for tight portraits.
Here are some tight shots i took with the 75 2.8 AL http://www.capturedbyfilm.com/film/last-purchase-of-2013/

The newest 67 200/4 can also focus that close without any extension, so it could also produce that head shot as well.

this looks to be more economical solution than buying the 75mm f2.8.
this guy also said he used close up filter: https://flic.kr/p/kLUCtW

is it just ANY close up filter will works? or is there anything to look for in close up filter?

Thanks!

Pentax designed the 6x7 S82 close-up filter to work with the 105/2.4 lens, so that would be my first choice. I got mine from KEH, so that is a good place to look.

Thanks for the info! now have to constantly monitor evilbay and keh to see if anything decent pop up...

Looks like the close-up filter work best (best magnification) with the 90mm f2.8 lens? hm...

Thanks tuco, is this the 'closest' you can get with extension tube?
Is this the extension tube you use? http://www.keh.com/camera/Pentax-6x7-Close-up-and-Bellow-Accessories/1/sku-PX209990273420?r=FE

About the closest with the #1. You also have tubes #2 and #3 available. You can stack all three of them together or any combinations of the two.
Yes, that's the set.

Here is another shot using the #1 extension tube + 90mm LS and Portra 160
